 Some orders will require you to create reports and letters. There are a variety of templates to be used depending on a client’s needs. Also, others will want graphs and charts incorporated into their work. With such technical skills, training is required. Detailed descriptions, as in reports, require one to have the vocabulary and good skills in grammar.

Data entry in spreadsheets 

Another non-technical job is keying data into spreadsheets; Excel is a common tool. Simply fill the cells with the provided information. They could be long lists of clients or employees’ databases. After completion, others can handle the technical part that involves manipulation using formulas. Accuracy and speed are also required for you to be efficient.

Data cleansing 

This task involves the reorganization of stored information to enhance its accuracy.  Outdated information is detected, erased, and replaced. This aids companies to access data more efficiently. For example, after new recruitments, the employees have to be added to the company’s database while the fired and retired are removed from the payroll.

  1. Online data entry 

Internet connection is necessary if you are to work on these jobs. Piles of files need to be entered and edited online. Since many companies have websites and databases which require updates, data entry clerks are the most sort after. 

What skills should you have? Basic computer knowledge and of the software to be used. However, the large amounts of work are really time-consuming.

Online surveys

Manufacturers and service providers like to know customer’s opinions on their products. They will therefore hire survey companies to research on their behalf. How are you involved? You earn by expressing your opinions. First, you open an account with them. Afterward, you are given questionnaires which can take 5- 30 minutes to fill. Upon successful completion of the survey, you are awarded points. The points can be redeemed as cash or vouchers depending on how much you have accumulated.

Online form filling

As the name suggests, you will have to enter data in online forms provided by the clients. Accuracy is key when handling these bulky files. The fields are specified so that you place data in their correct columns.

Editing

This job involves proofreading articles as you correct grammatical errors. You ensure the work is correctly punctuated, has an appropriate tone and the delivery is just right. Some orders may require re-writes so that the content appears fresh and appealing. Good command of language is necessary to maintain the originality of the material despite any changes made.

Transcription

Do you enjoy movies with subtitles? Well, the transcriber is the one to thank. Filmmakers contract them to convert the audio information into text. You will need a good internet connection, a PC, and HD earphones. It is best to work in a quiet environment since it will aid in attention. Type accurately what you hear because a wrong word can change the entire meaning of your topic.

Medical transcriptionists are in high demand. Their gigs often involve technical jargon that is well handled by those having a medical background. It’s little wonder why they earn handsomely.
